See where your wireless money goes
Enter what you know about your bill. You'll get an internal breakdown, an estimated annual cost and a short list of what I would check first — before any provider link.
Before You Pay — Check Whether You're Already Unlocked
Many phones are already unlocked, and most carriers will unlock an eligible device for free. This checker walks you through how to confirm it yourself. It cannot query a carrier database — it explains what to look at on your own phone.
Everything to gather before you port your number
Most switching problems come from a missing account number, a wrong PIN, or cancelling the old line too early. Work through this list in order. Your progress is saved in this browser only — no email required.

Get the Free GuideWhat these tools can — and cannot — tell you
These are educational tools, not carrier systems. They are built on published plan pricing and long-term professional wireless experience, and they are deliberately honest about their limits. My Mobile Expert™ is an independent resource operated by AurexRising LLC — not a carrier, MVNO, authorized reseller or dealer.
- Wireless Bill Check
What it does: It separates the parts of your bill — service, device payments and optional add-ons — estimates your annual cost, and shows what a comparable lower-cost plan on the same major networks generally costs.
What it can't do: It cannot see your account, apply your promotions, or calculate taxes, fees, autopay credits or employer discounts. Treat every number as an estimate based on what you typed in.
- Phone Unlock Checker
What it does: It shows you exactly where to look on your own device, explains what the carrier-lock screen means, and tells you when you likely do not need to pay anyone.
What it can't do: It cannot query a carrier database or remotely determine your device's real lock status. Only your carrier can confirm eligibility, and unlocking itself is handled by your carrier or an independent provider.
- Switching Checklist
What it does: It lists the account details, PINs and device facts you need before a port, in the order they matter, and remembers your progress in this browser.
What it can't do: It cannot start a port, contact a carrier, or confirm coverage at your address. You still complete the transfer with the new carrier.
Actual pricing, taxes, fees, eligibility and savings vary. Confirm current terms with the provider before switching. Some recommendations on this site are affiliate links, which are always labeled — I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
